3 Shots of the Game - Texas Stars vs Rochester Americans

It's customary after Texas Stars games for the "3 Stars of the Game" to be announced. Three players are selected as sort of MVPs of the game and they may be a combination of players from both the winning and losing team. I thought it might be fun to do something along these lines and pick 3 favorite photos from each game to share on my blog. These will simply be 3 of my favorite images or moments from game day.

I'll kick things off with 3 shots from last night's game against the Rochester Americans. My first pick is actually from before the game. Veteran players from last season's championship team finally received their rings and a brief ceremony was held in the locker room to hand them out. Curtis McKenzie was proud to show his off! My second pick is a blocker save by goalie Jack Campbell as the puck is about to hit (love catching those!) Campbell took over for Jussi Rynnas for the 3rd period after Texas gave up a 3 goal lead in the 2nd period. The third pick is a scramble for the puck as Maxime Fortunus races to prevent an open net goal in the last moments of play. Unfortunately, the Stars fell to the Americans 6-5.
