I took this shot while killing some time before meeting my friend Tony in Austin's warehouse district one evening recently. The shot is composed of 2 exposures. I noticed the guy sitting under the solar canopy and worked quickly to get the shot before he moved on. Shots like this are some of the most challenging for my color blind eyes. I'm aware that there is a mix of warm and cool light from the various sources you encounter in urban areas like this. I particularly like balancing warm street lights against the dark blue of early nighttime skies. It's a bit tough since my color perception isn't the greatest! Processing Info: - Raw conversion with white balance adjustment in Lightroom. - 2 exposures manually blended with layer masking in Photoshop. - HDR image generated from both exposures with Nik HDR Efex blended in lightly with a layer in Photoshop to accentuate texture in foreground and limestone walls. - Topaz Labs Detail Bold Detail blended in lightly. - Curve for contrast in Photoshop.
