It's kind of a family tradition to visit Wurstfest in New Braunfels, TX every year. I've got a little German blood in me and I enjoy a little wurst, bier, and polka music. I never knew polka music could be so much fun until I got to see the Alex Meixner Band perform. Wow, what a show Alex puts on! He really wails with his accordion! I managed to brave the polka dance pit to get a few shots that I think capture his intensity on stage. Got to meet him after the show and he's a heck of a nice guy to boot. He'll be playing all throughout Wurstfest going on this week. Blog | Facebook | Twitter | Google Plus Comments and constructive criticism are welcome and appreciated. I took this shot over the summer while wandering around the little town of of Bertram, TX with my friend, Andy. I love the old buildings and architecture of the small Texas towns. Bertram dates back to the late 1880s. This little old building from the 30s stood out to me. Shot with a Nikon F2 and 28mm lens on Fujifilm Acros 100. Scanned negative was adjusted in Lightroom.
