This is one of many buildings in the east Austin area in need of a tenant and some restoration work. The area has been undergoing quite a bit of change in recent years and it's just a matter of time until someone leases and does something here. For now it is a shame to see its doorway boarded up. I took this shot while roaming around east Austin recently. While I'm usually looking more for unusual things, it was the plain simplicity of this building that made me stop. There is a certain loneliness and sense of abandonment to it.
