Well, it's a wrap on another year. Happy New Year 2014 everyone! I took this photo recently at the Steven F. Austin Hotel in Austin. The two bartenders appeared to be getting ready to close things up soon. Seems a fitting last image of the year. 3 image capture was merged in Photomatix and further processed in Lightroom. It has become sort of a tradition that I go down to the Driskill Hotel to get a shot of their Christmas Tree each year. They have the most beautiful tree in Austin in my opinion. The lobby is a warm and inviting place and guests tend to linger around this tree. I was looking for a different perspective from my usual straight-on shot from the main entrance. I liked the way the columns framed the tree from this angle. 3 image capture was merged in Photomatix and further processed in Lightroom and Photoshop CC.
