I took this shot over the summer while wandering around the little town of of Bertram, TX with my friend, Andy. I love the old buildings and architecture of the small Texas towns. Bertram dates back to the late 1880s. This charming little railroad station attracted my attention. Shot with a Nikon F2 and 28mm lens on Fujifilm Acros 100. Scanned negative was adjusted in Lightroom. Blog | Facebook | Twitter | Google Plus Comments and constructive criticism are welcome and appreciated. Bertram dates back to the late 1880s. This is the Reed building which I understand to be the oldest remaining commercial building in town. Shot with a Nikon F2 and 28mm lens on Fujifilm Acros 100. As I was leaving my office this evening I noticed some tiny mushrooms rising up from a rainy afternoon. I stooped down and snapped a shot with the camera I had on me, my iPhone 4. Without my glasses on I didn't even notice the tiny snail at the time. It ended up being a more interesting shot than I thought it would be. I do wish I'd found a rock or something suitable to brace the phone in the low light. Then again, perhaps the softness of this image is appropriate for the scene - a fragile creature taking refuge under an equally fragile natural structure.
