The driver’s seat - where the bond between man and machine is formed. I am fascinated by the diverse dashboards in the various makes of automobiles. Some are minimalist, others are more complex with lots of analog gauges, resembling an aircraft cockpit. Old fashioned analog gauges are so much more appealing to me than modern digital displays. The auto’s cockpit says a lot about the machine and, with the personal touches you often see, the driver as well.
